Buttered bread and sultanas in creamy custard

Our Bread & Butter Pudding is a classic British dessert, made with layers of buttered bread, juicy sultanas and smooth, creamy custard. Finished with a sprinkle of demerara sugar and a hint of lemon zest, it's freshly prepared and cooked here in Torquay.
Cooking Instructions

Oven from frozen: 180°C (fan 170°C), Gas Mark 5, for 45-50 minutes.

Microwave from frozen: 700W 7 mins, 800W 6 mins, 900W 5.5 mins. Stand for 2 minutes.

Ensure product is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat more than once. Appliances vary — this is a guide only.

The first time I had this the pudding was beautifully light , with a tasty custard with a generous punch of vanilla. Recent dishes have tasted nice but I miss the strength of the vanilla that was present int he first dish
