Slow-cooked venison in a rich red wine gravy

Our Pot Roast Venison with Potato Gratin & Vegetables features tender British venison slow-cooked in a rich red wine and redcurrant gravy, served with creamy potato gratin and a selection of seasonal vegetables. Finished with rosemary and garlic, it's freshly prepared and cooked here in Torquay.

Oven from frozen: 180°C (fan 170°C), Gas Mark 5, for 65-70 minutes.

Microwave from frozen: 700W 13 mins, 800W 11.5 mins, 900W 10.5 mins. Stand for 2 minutes.

Ensure product is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat more than once. Appliances vary — this is a guide only.

There was not enough gravy so it was a bit dry. Plenty of venison pieces though. We did not microwave it as long as directed, as we have a more powerful one.

Tasty and lots of vegetables - good quantity. Only thing is my new microwave does not like the plate and it would not keep revolving 55 mins. in a hot oven was a bit of a shock!

I have enjoyed every meal I have received so far the quality of the food is very high and easy to microwave in a matter of minutes I have tried different company's to order food and dissatisfied but Devon farm foods in my opinion is far easily the best tasting food I've ever bought I will be buying more on a reqular basis I can't thank them enough very good value for choice and moneyBernadette
