Description

Our Ginger sponge pudding is a wonderfully warming dessert, made with a light, moist sponge infused with ginger, vanilla and cinnamon. Served with a rich butterscotch-style sauce made with cream, butter and molasses sugar, it's handmade in Devon and frozen for freshness for a truly comforting treat.

Ingredients

SPONGE (62%): Wheatflour, Brown Sugar, Egg, Vegetable Fat Spread (Vegetable Oils In Varying Proportions (70%) (Rapeseed, Palm, Sunflower), Water, Salt, ButterMilk, Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Acid (Citric Acid), Emulsifier (Mono And Diglycerides Of Fatty Acids), Flavourings, Vitamin A and D), Double Cream [Milk], Raising Agent: Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate E500, Ginger (1%), Vanilla Extract (Invert Sugar Syrup, Glucose Syrup, Water, Vanilla Extract), Butter [Milk], Cinnamon.

SAUCE (38%): Double Cream [Milk] (63%), Molasses Sugar, Butter [Milk], Ginger.

Cooking Instructions

From frozen:

Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (170°C Fan).
  2. Remove outer packaging.
  3. Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.
  4. Cook from frozen for approximately 35-40 minutes.
  5. Ensure the meal is piping hot throughout before serving.
  6. Allow to stand for 2 minutes before eating.

Microwave (Recommended)

  • 700W – approximately 2 & 1/2 minutes
  • 800W – approximately 2 & 1/2 minutes
  • 900W – approximately 2 minutes
